I’ve done it again, that well known comfortable shoe firm whose name is the opposite of colder have offered me £20 off!
Well it would be a shame to waste that wouldn’t it so I have ordered a new pair of the very very comfy chocolate brown suede Pixie which I wear every day. That way when they get really knackered I have a smart pair (for the unlikely event of actually going anywhere) and after too many abortive attempts with ankle boots from other sources, I know these are as comfortable as slippers! BTW not answering my own question, that’s between me and my confessor!
I need VERY wide shoes : wide are usually EEE (3E) and I take an 8E, Unless I have handmade shoes there is only only manufacturer: DB wide-fit shoes. Although the now make nice shoes in a range if colours (all flat - of course), they only make one boot in an 8E fitting and it is VERY UGLY! This annoys me immensely. So I have no boots at all !!!
I've just bought a pair of Moshulu boots to add to my other three pairs of ankle boots and my Hiking Boots. Like others boots are a bit of an obsession for me.
I buy Skechers and have found them in Debenhams, are they still open? And online in catalogue shops like JD Williams. I have cheap ankle boots in fake suede from Dorothy Perkins, a black leather biker pair and two knee high pairs in brown and black from M&S.
Lucca re. Sketchers on line. My DH bought a pair as the local branch did not have his size. Diaster! Never arrived and took months to get a refund. Would not deal with them again.
I've just bought a pair of pale blue Chelsea boots although they're actually more of a short cowboy boot with a Cuban heel as well as the elastic sides of a Chelsea boot They're from Fly, a firm I love, who've provided me with 4 pairs of long boots & some ankle boots, all extremely comfy I did dither a bit about the pale blue but gave in eventually - they are so beautiful but I'm not going to wear them in the rain !
I have four pairs: 1 Red, 1 Navy, 1 Maroon and 1 Black! Just don't please, ask me how many pairs of shoes/sandals I have - I don't have time to count them!
I love boots, long and short, but don't enjoy the look of plain ones so I sand them lightly and paint them with acrylic paints. That way I can change the pattern when I get bored. Doc Martens are the best for this, as the leather quality is so good. (In the summer I paint my sandals. )
I could wear a different pair of boots every day for two weeks but if I then put my shoes and trainers and put and flip flops we are probably talking a different pair every day for about 6 weeks
Lucca, try Pavers, they do some Skechers, and at a good price too. No-one yet seems to have mentioned Fit Flops ! Their boots (and shoes) are so, so comfy, but buy in the Sale !!!
I was a "martyr to my feet" until I discovered the not colder outlet store. Unfortunately they discontinued my favourite style Jade, I must have about 9 pairs in various states of repair as well as a few other styles. I think I'll give the Pixie ones a go next.
Ignoring all the heeled varieties in different heights/colours and materials, my everyday 'go to' ankle boot is 'Whisper' from that well known 'not colder' store. Pull 'em on in the morning then can happily troll around all day without any discomfort (or should that be discomfeet.....?).
Leopard print, tan, grey, dark blue, burgundy, purple. I have just ordered a pair of black ones. I also have a pair of pink cowboy boots. Too many boots, no such thing!
