Leggings & jeggings, especially when worn by anyone bigger than a size 10.

I don't follow fashions trends, never have.

I'd like to see the end of the fashion (to the extent that anything else is unacceptable) to be six foot tall, size six and look like a very miserable anorexic teenager.

Tattoes, ripped jeans, exposed muffin tops, ample women with skin tight leggings that don’t reach their waist. Men in training pants, no top on and their stomach hanging over as soon as the sun appears. Trout pouts just weird, Botox faces that don’t move.

I don't mind admitting, I find high waisted trousers extremely uncomfortable. I think it's my shape... ?

I love three quarter length sleeves, Happysexagenarian. I have long arms, so long sleeves rarely reach my wrists and I pull them up to just below my elbows. I have very ugly elbows, so short sleeves don't suit either. ?

I like that young women are embracing wearing comfortable shoes, trainers or different, rather than killing their feet and spines in spiky, narrow high heels. Did it myself when young. But my feet are not thanking me now. Men don’t do this to themselves!

Tatoos on men, and mostly on women, do they think they are smart?

There are lots of fashion trends that I dislike personally, however, I appreciate that we all have different tastes, and so things I like will not necessarily be liked by others and equally things I dislike won’t necessarily be disliked by others. I think that we are fortunate (in our part of the world, at least), to live in a time where you can, more or less, wear whatever you like and follow whichever makeup trend you like.
Trends come and go, but I think there is far much more choice around now, thank goodness, so that most of us can find something that we are happy to wear, and what’s more feel comfortable in wearing without worrying that we are going to be castigated by most for doing so.
Some of the dislikes mentioned upthread, I agree with wholeheartedly, but of course there will be others who love them, so I think my point is, thank goodness we have the choice to pick and choose.

@snowberryz bless you my dear! With 7 billion people in the world it would be very boring if we all liked the same things wouldn’t it? Additionally different people suit different clothes. I worked as a stylist for many years and I can attest that some of the items you mention will look POW on someone. I hope to see the back of opinions that mean that imply ‘good taste’ is one person’s perspective.

I had to comment re/ the ripped jeans so many mentioned. I also dislike the trend but have an old, OLD pair with rips caused by age and usage (not fashion). I kept them for painting and yard work, both of which I'm doing a lot of lately. So, I've been wearing them daily the past few weeks and, every, single time I try to put the awful things on, I get my foot caught in the holes! Tip: Do NOT try to pull a pair of holey jeans on near the top of a staircase!

This is so true! Long floral dress and white trainers, it’s like a uniform! I hate mom jeans as they’re so high waisted that I can’t breathe in them ?. Also you need a degree in ‘jeanery’ to buy a pair in M&S, it’s so confusing ?

Cold shoulder clothes, don't get it. Why wear a long sleeved jumper in the winter and then have holes on your shoulders to get cold?!

Long floral dresses with trainers is a nice look and practical - one item of clothing and comfortable footwear! Unfortunately at 5'2" and a bit I'm too short to carry this off.

I'd like to see the end of women our age in strappy tops with bra straps showing, and stripy tops with an anchor on!

cropped tops. I don't mean the tiny things that show off a midriff, but ordinary t-shorts, cardigans and blouses that only come down to the waist. I also dislike jeans with rips in - a friend of mine wears them (she's size 20 and aged 64). I don't like to see them on young people, never mind those who are more mature

Farzanah I live in dungarees! So comfy. Only problem is going to the loo - such a faff.

Here's another vote for dresses with trainers. Practical and comfortable. I wear jeggings in the winter but would really prefer to buy jegging type trousers that are wider in the leg, I'm still looking for some.
Other dislikes:
over made-up young women (such a shame)
very long padded coats (walking duvets)
harem trousers (divide at the knee - just weird)
teddy coats on large ladies
long painted finger nails
pointed shoes (my dad warned me off winkle pickers and I ignored him - he was right though)
jeans that trail on the ground (why?)

As someone who was in my late teens/20s in the 1960s, I would not dream of making any comment on fashion trends and those who wear them.

I can remember the fulminations of parents and pundits in the press about our short skirts, long hair, heavy eye make-up etc etc.

Why not have fun with clothes and wear things that older people tut over. That is what being young is about. And as you get older, why limit what you wear to the 'age appropriate' clothing people keep going on about. Frankly there is nothing more laughable that GN's 'How to dress over 50' guide to age appropriate clothing.

So I am not going to list any trends I am waiting to see the back of. Of course there are fashion trends, that , personally, I do not like, but whenever I am tempted to tut. I just remind myself that i was a 60s chick and how much we enjoyed wearing clothes that older people disapproved of.
