Jings, I realise now, reading this thread, that perfume is actually a HOBBY for me! I have about 30 bottles, and I change my fragrance on the first day of each month, so I am rotating scents through the seasons. I am mainly a Hermes girl, so right now I'm wearing Un Jardin sur le Nil; August could be Jour d'Hermes or Voyage - later in the year I will wear Kelly Caleche and Amazone and in the winter I will wear Eau de Merveilles. I also have lesser known ones, I like Roma by Laura Biagiotti and Ellie Saab Le Parfum. My all time favourite is Kiku by Faberge, which I wore as a teenager over 50 years ago! I can still find vintage bottles on Ebay in good condition. I have tried the Aldi/Superdrug dupes and while they are quite convincing at first sniff, they have zero longevity, and you would need to keep applying them every half hour. Quality perfume should only need one application per day. Regarding a previous comment about perfume deteriorating if not used, I only usually buy 30 ml size, and always keep each fragrance in its original carton, storing the ones out of rotation in a black box.
Retirement is it what you thought it would be?
