Fed up already.

Full of stereotypes, clichéd and not really what I want to watch for enjoyment on a Sunday evening.

Perhaps I'll watch Indian Summers next week (or is that full of stereotypes as well?)

Loved all Spiral series and feel the cliffhanger ending must lead to another series, hopefully !
Watched A Casual Vacancy tonight and hadn't read the book so found it a bit confusing but once we got into it we found it rather enjoyable, pretty awful types though.
Recorded Indian Summers and look forward to that tomorrow night and as you say, one can fast forward through the ads!

Does anyone else think that the actress who plays Trixie in Call the Midwife has lost a lot of unnecessary weight?

She has always had a slim figure but now she is now looking very thin. Shame because I don't think it suits her.

I think it's all part of the plot. She's now wearing a uniform which is too big for her, which I think is deliberate, they've used make up to make her look tired and stressed, and she's obviously getting close to being an alcoholic.

He is being sent to an inner city parish oop North, ana, and she had ideas of bringing up their family in an idyllic rural parish. She realised she wasn't cut out for that (although she works in Poplar!)

Wasn't the father of Laure's baby in Spiral possibly Bremont?

I think some of the TV series from Scandinavia are brilliant. I loved watching the 10 episodes of LEGACY...I would love to know when the next episodes are on, does anyone know this as I would hate to miss them..the acting is brilliant, and normal looking people, instead of HOLLYWOODS perfect creations (all look alike) same cosmetic surgeon I guess..... most European TV series MONTELBANO and SPIRAL etc are just great....

I will keep an eye on this for you celialillian. I think it will be next winter.I will make a note and post if I get information.
Are you watching Fortitude on Sky Atlantic? I haven't got SA, so was wondering.
I wish the The Killing would return (my fav.). They left it open.
What is so good about these dramas is that they allow you to see people thinking and considering situations unlike the terrible reactionary stuff of a lot of drama. Foyle and Morse are thinkers in the tradition of Smiley and so much more appealing to me.

Very disappointed with A Casual Vacancy. Only managed half an hour then switched to Indian Summer which we had been recording. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to the rest of the series

I haven't read A Casual Vacancy (couldn't stand the Harry Potter books - I know their for children but lots of adults read them too).

I really enjoyed the TV adaptation.

Spiral was brilliant - there must surely be another series because there are too many storylines that need developing.
