IrnBru advert

Ah yes, Irn Bru - made in Scotland, frae girders.

Funny you should mention it, we had a surreal moment yesterday as DH and I were having a bite in one of our favourite cafes, Le Pain Quotidien opposite the Royal Free Hospital after his iron infusion and watched an enormous lorry emblazoned with Irn- Bru on its side making its way up Pond Street towards the hospital!

I had a giggle at the end. I have never tasted Irn-bru what is it like?

I just don't find the advert funny. I do know what Irn Bru is!

Please tell me Ana is it like ginger beer ?

I didn't find it funny either and I usually find most things amusing. it's not like ginger beer - It is indescribable and disgusting!! (IMO)

It makes me laugh. Isn't it everyone's fear on a train or in those stand alones in main streets?

Irn Bru has a taste all of it's own so I can't really describe it but I believe it's made in Scotland from girders.

It's not funny and Billy Connolly did the 'parking your bike' joke years ago.

I'd forgotten about it; not sure where I saw it..the cinema perhaps? Thought it was horrid.

Lighten up you miserable lot! It was the reference to Billy Connolly's joke which tickled me!

Made me laugh anyway, and I love IrnBru, always have, but it must be ice cold. It has a taste all of it`s own, the same way that Tizer has.

I don't think I'm po-faced - I love Billy Connolly - but I didn't find the advert at all funny.

I can imagine this happening, and wouldn't dream of using one of these toilets unless I was absolutely desperate! Liked your pun, anno!

I found myself being more concerned that he was on the floor of a doNOTtouchathing British Rail train loo and hoping he washed his hands very thoroughly! I must be getting old!

@numberplease - I was about to say that IrnBru tastes like Tizer but with a syrupy sweetness.

It's almost as ghastly as that Moneysupermarket ad.

Oh dear the Moneysupermarket ad makes me smile too until Sharon Osborne appears.

Just because you don't find something funny when someone else does doesn't make you po faced. Humour is subjective. I love slapstick but I know a lot of people find it infantile and I adore Benny Hill (well not the race based jokes but they were of their day). However I could never stand Bernard Manning even when his jokes were deemed to be acceptable.

I am not too keen on slapstick unless it is clever, but love the 'I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue' humour, very schoolboy!

I can't cope with any jokes about toilets or bodily functions eg the old ladies in Little Britain; even a one off line in League of Gentlemen still makes me feel queasy years after I heard it. Other than that I'm open to most kinds of humour.

I hate that "you could park a bike up that bum" thing. . It's mean.

I guess the ad isn't aimed at a bunch of old nannas though.
