It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 20:02:52

There are accusations of racism against viewers because the first two voted off were black , as viewers do not vote dancers out can someone explain this please ?

Jane10 Tue 11-Oct-16 20:05:52

Will's had a history of depression. Len told him to 'turn up, keep up and shut up'! Miserable old git.

hulahoop Tue 11-Oct-16 20:09:20

Sorry to see Will go I thought he was good looked very relaxed I thought it was viewers votes added to judges marks anniebach .

annodomini Tue 11-Oct-16 20:37:16

Oh no! Not Will. I had him pegged for at least the semi-final.

petra Tue 11-Oct-16 20:58:57

Anniebach because Len, as head judge had the final vote and he voted Tameka out.

merlotgran Tue 11-Oct-16 21:03:55

That casting vote is a complete nonsense. The judges are an even number so if it's two to one, Len still gets the say.

Ridiculous.

granjura Tue 11-Oct-16 21:08:17

Len is far too big for his boots- and needs to go. He shouldn't have the casting vote either and rule the floor as he does. Good on Will to tell him what's what.

Wobblybits Tue 11-Oct-16 21:21:46

As someone who also suffers with depression, Len's remarks would have made me flounce off. He treated him like some naughty schoolboy.

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 21:32:16

Yes but it is viewers who placed them in the bottom two, I didn't vote for anyone but if I had it wouldn't have been for her

Thanks you for replies

WilmaKnickersfit Tue 11-Oct-16 22:28:21

I don't think it was any it was anything to do with Len. This is the statement from his website -

To be a part of Strictly has been a long time ambition of mine. As a performer, a viewer, and a fan of the show, to dance as a contestant was an experience I always hoped for. I have made some great friends, and am in awe of their performances week in, week out. I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience. I will be eternally grateful to her for her direction, talent and guiding me through three wonderful dances that I will be able to show my grandkids in years to come.

Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television. I am so grateful to everyone who works on Strictly from the lighting designer to catering to the production team. Strictly truly is the most unique family and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. And finally thank you to the BBC for supporting me throughout my journey. I wish my compatriots so much luck, and although I am back to being a viewer again, I’m certainly going to ‘keeeep dancing’!

merlotgran Tue 11-Oct-16 22:30:43

Well, he would say that wouldn't he? grin

Ana Tue 11-Oct-16 22:37:40

Just what I was thinking, merlot. He's hardly going to issue a statement confirming he left because he was in a strop about Len - not good for the image!

WilmaKnickersfit Tue 11-Oct-16 22:51:42

Give the guy a break. We have no idea why he left.

dramatictessa Tue 11-Oct-16 23:01:07

Conspiracy theories abound everywhere on GNgrin

merlotgran Tue 11-Oct-16 23:04:13

Ah but we're supposed to believe the statement from his website. That's why it was released.

No conspiracy theory. I'm just not the sort of person who is easily taken in.

BlueBelle Tue 11-Oct-16 23:04:46

Believe that and you believe anything, don't all the disgraced politicians leave for 'personal reasons' it's too much of a coincidence that he has personal reasons the very week he had a spat, I reckon off camera it was a bigger spat than we saw Shame though I can't believe anyone would leave over the few words we saw

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 23:15:03

I listened to the papers review and they are running with - it was the spat with Len

WilmaKnickersfit Tue 11-Oct-16 23:20:58

Conspiracy theories? Try reading the thread on Will leaving on the Digital Spy Strictly message boards. The thread already has 16 pages!

BTW apparently Len and Will were seen laughing together in the bar after the show on Saturday night, so I don't think their little spat is behind this. The papers have to say something.

Jane10 Wed 12-Oct-16 07:05:25

It'll all come out in the end. Watch and wait. Still disappointing though.

BlueBelle Wed 12-Oct-16 08:44:36

Well if it wasn't anything to do with the spat, Will has the very worst timing in the world haha
Why that week? either it's a double bluff and he wanted the publicity of people thinking about it and talking, as we are ( don't really think so) or
There was more to the spat than we saw ... possibly

If Will has a 'home' problem very strange it came to light the week he had over the top criticism

To be honest I can't read 16 pages of others views this is enough for me

Jane10 Wed 12-Oct-16 08:59:33

Maybe he had a better offer -I'm a Celebrity is back next month. Is Will off to the jungle?! Now there's a conspiracy theory for you!grin

DanniRae Wed 12-Oct-16 09:22:36

I like Len BUT I thought he was very rude to Will. The man was only defending the dance that Karen had created. Sorry to see him go. Sorry for Karen too...........sad

annodomini Wed 12-Oct-16 09:58:12

Celebs aren't supposed to answer back to judges' criticisms though some of the professionals have been known to do so. I doubt if Will is so over-sensitive that he would quite after a brief exchange with Len. There must be more than meets the eye. It's sad for Joanne who is a wonderful dancer and choreographer.

Anniebach Wed 12-Oct-16 10:01:05

Seems the poor man has been battling a drink problem and depression, perhaps he is too fragile

annodomini Wed 12-Oct-16 10:23:59

Apologies - his partner was Karen Clifton, not Joanne Clifton!
