Just found this mystery series 8 episodes on the BBC IPlayer. All set in Wales and from BBC Wales. Seen the first two episodes which I thoroughly enjoyed. Just wish the whole series was ready to watch.

Also I don’t know the program to use!!,! grin
I would willingly play a fee to watch the programmes legally - as it is I manage to watch or record most things we want to see

Thanks jusnoneed. I’ve now found it on the iPad version of iPlayer. Now need to work out how to transfer that to the TV!

mostlyharmless Thu 12-Apr-18 16:05:26

Aha. Now found it on iPlayer on Amazon fire stick! Isn’t technology wonderful? grin

I watch most programmes on the IPad and it is an excellent medium as I still get them on HD. I don't watch much on the TV itself, other than Bargain Hunt with DH, but as he hardly ever watches the TV I have carte blanch to choose what I like, which suits me just fine.

So pleased you have found the episode you want Mostlyharmless I was riveted throughout.

Glad you found it.

I watch early evening stuff on the laptop, mainly because OH likes the quiz shows - even when they are repeats hmm
Then when he goes upstairs I watch the TV and things on catch up/Sky. I enjoyed Crossing Lines and recorded the first series episodes as they appeared. Was looking at my stored programmes last night, to have a bit of a clear out, and found two episodes have recorded from second series, nice surprise lol.

An excellent series, but it caused me to weep when the children called Faith Mammy, it's what I called my mother even when an adult. Also enjoyed seeing the areas where it was filmed, haven't been to any of them for some time. Look forward to the second series

gillybob Thu 12-Apr-18 23:17:50

Oh dear I thought this was a religion thread. Sorry Anniebach but you know how me and the big fella are with each other.

Anyway I’m up to number 5 . Daren't read the whole thread for fear of spiders. Can’t wait for number 6 . I’m speaking / typing in Welsh / Geordie .

Anniebach Fri 13-Apr-18 05:20:46

gillybob Fri 13-Apr-18 08:15:41

Eve Myles (Faith) is on Woman's Hour this morning.

Sallyann1 Mon 16-Apr-18 18:19:25

Just a heads up to let anyone who lives near Hay-on-Wye that Eve Myles and Matthew Hall (writer) will be talking about the series at the Hay Festival at 1 pm on Friday June 1st - tickets £7.

NanKate Mon 16-Apr-18 21:56:57

Thanks Chelseababy for letting us know that Eve Myles was on Woman’s Hour today, I’ve just listened to the interview which was excellent.

Anniebach Mon 16-Apr-18 22:01:09

Such a pity she will not be up for a best actress award , bet she will get another Welsh BAFTA though

NanKate Tue 17-Apr-18 07:58:03

Yes isn’t she good Anniebach she is a new actress to me ? I had forgotten how beautiful Wales is.

Anniebach Tue 17-Apr-18 08:56:33

She is a good actress. Yes they filmed in Laughane which is so beautiful, Dylan Thomas lived there and is buried there. Some town shots were Carmarthen and some sea shots were Swansea .

Gerispringer Tue 17-Apr-18 09:07:07

I was amazed to hear that she filmed the series twice, once in Welsh and once in English and she had to learn Welsh for the role.

Anniebach Tue 17-Apr-18 09:10:45

It was made by BBC Wales and S4C, so in Welsh for S4C then English for BBC Wales

OMG I watched the final part last night. I wasn't disappointed but I was very confused and would appreciate a few points clearing up.

Was Faith imagining Evan standing with the children? or was he actually there?
Williams was a bent cop but she wasn't "the" bent cop (is that right?) the bent cop was the guy who interviewed Williams and asked for the recorder to be turned off (and the other hard faced woman with the pony tail??? )
The mother in law was a complete bitch btw.

I'm also madly in love lust with Steve Baldini blush

gillybob Wed 18-Apr-18 13:22:06

There HAS to be another series!

NanKate Wed 18-Apr-18 22:05:47

Now calm down Gillybob or you won't sleep tonight ?

Yes I think her husband had returned and was standing with the children. Hadn't he been in some covert operation ?

I think the hard faced police woman was far from perfect but she did help Faith in the end. The male interviewer was the baddie.

I wish I had had a baby as good as the one Faith carries around with her and he is so undemanding.

IMO it is the best series so far this year and I can't wait for series two.

NanKate Wed 18-Apr-18 22:09:03

I can't quite see what you find so attractive in Steve Baldini, he is a bit porkie for me and I am sure he would say the same about me. ?

maryeliza54 Wed 18-Apr-18 22:47:29

There’s an animal magnetism and a suspicion that he would be extremely good in bed

gillybob Wed 18-Apr-18 22:53:11

Yes maryeliza54 I think you’ve got it spot on !

He’s not a “porker” at all NanKate that’s pure muscle.

Oh dear I really need to sleep tonight. wink

Nelliemoser Wed 18-Apr-18 23:18:23

Luckygirl I have also just finished binge watching this on I player . I was well and truly hooked.

I really enjoyed

NanKate Thu 19-Apr-18 06:25:58

Apologies to Steve Baldini I didn’t realise he was ‘pure muscle’ you obviously know him a little more intimately than I do. ?
