Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Oh my goodness!

I don’t think Hashim will die of a heart attack, more like a case of severe over- acting!

Sarnia Sat 11-Dec-21 08:54:32

What is Curtis up to now? He clearly has a mental issue with continuing to kid people he has a serious heart condition when he hasn't but why is he such a liar into the bargain? He has told Emma he is off to do a sponsored hill climb in Oliver's memory and has met some mystery man. I wonder if this will be the main Christmas storyline, exposing him for what he is and will Emma stand by him?

lemsip Tue 14-Dec-21 19:57:59

Curtis has been rumbled then. his tablets are multivits.......

Calendargirl Wed 15-Dec-21 07:17:49

If Curtis didn’t do the Three Peaks, surely he needs to show some sort of proof to receive any sponsor money? Or do people just pay up regardless?

(Do I actually ask to see evidence before shelling out)?

hmm

JaneJudge Wed 15-Dec-21 07:51:34

does this happen often in real life? hmm confused

JaneJudge Wed 15-Dec-21 07:53:01

Oh and Adam is gong to be that knicker factory contract woman's child's Dad isn't he? can see that one a mile off!

Aveline Wed 15-Dec-21 08:26:18

Did we ever find out who Imran slept with the night after the trial?

Sarnia Wed 15-Dec-21 08:53:27

Aveline

Did we ever find out who Imran slept with the night after the trial?

Yes Aveline it was Abi. I am waiting for her to do a pregnancy test and find it is positive. That would put the cat amongst the pigeons nicely. Looks like Curtis will have to come clean about his 'heart condition'.

sodapop Wed 15-Dec-21 08:53:30

Yes it was Abi Aveline

Aveline Wed 15-Dec-21 09:06:53

Thanks. Now. What's up with Curtis? Some sort of psychiatric thing? Like Munchausen's. It's a bit of a different storyline anyway.

Calendargirl Wed 15-Dec-21 09:19:49

And Summer is going to have issues with her weight, anorexia and bulimia, trying to emulate Daisy on her blogs or influencing or whatever they do to look good.

Aveline Wed 15-Dec-21 09:31:16

Very unsubtly presented though. Disappointing.

That was my thoughts too JaneJudge. Surely they haven’t forgotten they’ve done that sort of story recently with Nick and Sam ?

sodapop Wed 15-Dec-21 13:24:39

Curtis is suffering from Factitious disorder, apparently started when his parents were getting divorced. He won't accept any treatment.

JaneJudge Wed 15-Dec-21 17:35:34

thanks I've just googled it so it was what was known as Munchausen syndrome confused

Elless Wed 15-Dec-21 17:38:50

Anybody know what the storylines over Christmas are? I know that even though the programmes are on later in the day apparently you can download them and watch them earlier.

NotTooOld Wed 15-Dec-21 20:50:28

Yes, that child will definitely turn out to be Adam's. This story has been too contrived for my liking. First of all Sarah not being pregnant, then Adam not being able to remember how many women he has slept with, now this woman supposedly recognising him. It's all happened too fast and, as someone above has already pointed out, it is only recently that Nick's long lost son has turned up.

Re the Christmas story lines, I thought the biggy was Emma not getting married but that seems to be already happening?

The Christmas Market seems to be going on for a long time. Don't they usually pop up just for a few days?

I wish Jasmeen would find another man, preferably one that takes her off to Australia to live. Her over-acting is very annoying.

grin

Yes, she does ham it up, doesn't she?

BlueBelle Wed 15-Dec-21 22:44:17

Gosh she is an awful actor I agree I don’t like it only being on for one session I like seeing the two hope that’s temporary

Namsnanny Thu 16-Dec-21 12:57:04

It's probably because of that Simon Cowell program following it. I hope the normality of 2 episodes returns as well.
I never read ahead of schedule what is going to happen. Not with other programs either. It spoils it for me.
In fact I hate the silly narration seconds before the program starts. So I tend to try to keep the sound down until the music is on. What a palava!!

Charleygirl5 Thu 16-Dec-21 13:03:41

Namsnanny I also hate to be told what I am about to watch seconds before the programme begins. I also keep the sound down on Coronation Street. I do wonder why I watch it but we are not exactly spoiled for choice.

Calendargirl Fri 17-Dec-21 20:03:05

Naughty Ken has obviously never been a member of Gransnet. If he had, he would know it’s very naughty to make your adult children feel guilty about wanting to spend Christmas Day on their own, not part of a big family group.

Come on Ken, stop being a selfish old so and so!

Sarnia Sat 18-Dec-21 11:55:12

Was Curtis doing something dodgy with Oliver's fund money at the end of Friday's episode?

Looked that way.

Doodledog Sat 18-Dec-21 21:18:57

Yes, it looks like he's a wrong 'un, regardless of his mental health issues.
