Did anyone else watch it?
Is anyone else confused?

The usual slightly dark, sometimes mumbled BBC production but spotting places we know was more interesting.

I've really enjoyed watching it, and looking forward to seeing the final episodes.
Yes it is confusing, but so engrossing!

3dognight Sun 20-Feb-22 17:39:00

I have just binge watched over the stormy weekend. It was very good so I just let it keep playing. I would not have stuck with it if I hadn’t binge watched it, and also sat near the tele to see in the dark bedroom and the phone screenshots.
Shame I’ve finished it really.

Kali2 Sun 20-Feb-22 21:59:18

jsut watched tonight's episode- wow, where is it going. Is he the killer controller?

BlueBelle Sun 20-Feb-22 22:23:57

I m still watching but so muddled it doesn’t help because my eyes can’t pick up all the many phone messages, diary inputs etc and there is a lot of them it’s very difficult if you haven’t got good eyesight I ve never understood why they don’t put the phone messages etc in the subtitles
So not really enjoying it I night be better off watching it on my iPad !

Callistemon21 Sun 20-Feb-22 22:25:31

I fell asleep - what did I miss?!

rubysong Sun 20-Feb-22 22:36:51

Were we supposed to see who those envelopes she picked up were addressed to? There were lots of phone messages I didn't catch. Also hard to tell what is real and what is in her mind. I shall stick with it but I'm not in a hurry to watch any more 'thriller' type programmes.

BlueBelle Mon 21-Feb-22 22:02:21

Well that was as clear as mud Wasted 6 hours on a load of old
tripe, shes a good actress though but the storyline left me cold, so muddled and unexplainable, for me I should add maybe you clever folk got it, I didn’t

Millie22 Mon 21-Feb-22 22:05:08

Yes I'm just the same. What was happening as I've still no idea.

Millie22 Mon 21-Feb-22 22:07:21

And I kept expecting Chloe to be alive and living in that caravan.

I just said to DH that's wasted six hours we'll not get back.
Luckily I can crochet at the same time so not six hours totally wasted.

Callistemon21 Mon 21-Feb-22 22:10:54

What were all those post-its about at the end?

Kali2 Mon 21-Feb-22 22:11:32

What happened was clear- what happens next less so ?!?!

BlueBelle Mon 21-Feb-22 22:34:04

Maybe to you kali but not to me To start with I missed half the story as I couldn’t read the phone messages and post it notes and cards/ hand written notes etc etc of which there were many
Secondly it seemed to go round and round in circles to come to one conclusion she was bullied in her marriage and tried to get away and either jumped or was pushed or accidentally fell They could have done that in one episode
It was unrealistic no one could creep around in other people houses as she did I know it’s fiction but there’s fiction and fiction All that intrigue and then it just fizzled out
Why did I bother !! I m annoyed at myself for watching

BrandyGran Mon 21-Feb-22 23:14:49

This drama intrigued me but I was unable to make out who was doing what in total darkness.
This is not good enough . We are paying a licence to watch not peer at the screen. It made me cross.
How come the sound quality and lighting are acceptable on dramas like Call the Midwife and Downton Abbey?
Is this supposed to be clever and modern?

Well, I fell asleep towards the end of episode 5 so may have missed something but I didn't find it very clear.
Perhaps because they appear to have filmed much of it after power cuts!
Who was Christine Wright?
And I did keep trying to spot places I know too.

what happens next less so ?!?!
Does she go to London to be with Josh?

Callistemon21 Mon 21-Feb-22 23:52:48

I was waiting for the squeaky stair
Every house must have at least one!

Zoejory Mon 21-Feb-22 23:55:04

I watched it all but have no memory of any of it.

Farzanah Tue 22-Feb-22 09:44:42

Well I watched the last episode last night and am more confused than ever.
Darkness, notes, phone messages?
Spoiler alert……
Did Ethan murder Chloe or did she just think he did? Were all the friends going along with the cover up to protect him and why did they let her infiltrate their gang if they knew she was an imposter? Was much of it in her imagination confused
What worried me, with a dependent parent, who was going to pay the bloody home fees? The wad of notes she proffered may just about cover a fortnight.

It was a very deserted nursing home! Is her mother the only person there?

Did I hear her tell the manager/receptionist whoever that Christine Wright would be visiting in future? I still don't know who Christine Wright is.

confused but don't care any more really!

The mysterious Christine Wright! ?

Farzanah Wed 23-Feb-22 11:11:45

Was she the original carer she banned from visiting?

Callistemon21 Thu 24-Feb-22 17:59:03

Farzanah

Yes, thank you!

DiscoDancer1975 Fri 25-Feb-22 16:22:31

I loved it. Husband not so sure. For some reason it reminded me of ‘ Desperately Seeking Susan’. It was a bit unbelievable in places...but aren’t all dramas?

As for mumbling....apparently it’s deliberate in films and dramas. Supposed to make it more realistic! However, like real life, you find yourself shouting ‘ pardon, will you speak up, and face me when you do!’

Thank goodness for subtitles. I wish I had them for my husband ?.

I'm finding it intriguing though I'm still wondering about why she put wee into the whisky decanter, or did I imagine that? I mentioned it to a friend who'd been watching & she didn't remember that bit! It was about half way through episode 1. I'm assuming she steals clothes - she obviously nicked that beautiful flowery coat off the coat peg in the office in episode one and her gymn top and that flowery dress she wore to the party both had labels in. She'd either stolen them or was hoping to take them back. I'm hoping to hold out til Sunday for the next episode but feel a binge coming on...

She didn’t like the job, or her boss. If you remember, it was just a cover for someone on maternity leave. Not part of the plot, so don’t worry. It was really introducing her character I think, and what she was capable of.

Certainly see it to the end.

BlueBelle Fri 25-Feb-22 16:39:47

Seeing to the end made it no clearer than stopping half way through though ???
