Later - Not the Nine O'Clock News, Trigger Happy TV

I never had a favourite TV programme, I never saw TV untiI I was married and DH bought one.

Pathfinders in Space/to Mars/to Venus. Was only shown in the Midlands I believe so not many people have heard of it. It was the fore runner of every tv Sci Fi series on tv. We used to act it out in the school playground. Thankfully I have got it on dvd, it isn’t one of the programmes that have been totally erased. I’ve only ever spoken to one other person who remembers it.

I used to love The Monkees so would watch their show on the telly -

I imagine was pretty awful as far as storylines go but the music was fantastic and I was in love with Davy Jones.

I loved Dixon of Dock Green, he looked like my dad, bless. I used to love watching Round the Twist with my kids in the early 90's. I also loved Peyton Place, Knots Landing, When the Boat Comes In, The Waltons, Z-Cars, Michael Miles in Open the Box, The Andy Williams Show, Randal and Hopkirk.
There are so so many good series we used to watch, but equally there are many good series on t.v. now.

Curlywhirly. I too can remember the words to The Beverley Hillbillies theme tune. It's being repeated at the moment on Talking Pictures TV. It's still quite funny.

We didn’t have a TV till after I left home

Neither did we, but my grandparents did and so did our next door neighbours.
Bewitched was my favourite but also Bill and Ben, Tales of the Riverbank, Soap, and Z Cars.

Catweezle, Worzel Gummage, Rent a Ghost and later on sexton Blake, the mind of Mr J G Reader, Rich man poor man and The Thorn Birds.

Prudence Kitten. That should get the memory ticking away on other GN's let alone the young.

We've been watching The Beverley Hillbillies currently on Sky. My husband loves it. I prefer to just sing along to the theme tune...."oil that is, Texas tea!" That always makes me smile
