Hi everyone,

Purpledaffodil, Greenfinch and moi are planning (have agreed) to meet up in Dorking in Surrey for lunch.

We'd love others in the area to join us.

Please anyone who posts also suggest days that are convenient and maybe even suggest some dates!

Tuesdays or Wednesdays are best for me.

Grannyknot Wed 04-Nov-15 22:14:43

Its difficult to Doodle lying flat on your back with your Kindle in the air.

Purpledaffodil Wed 04-Nov-15 22:25:07

What a mind boggling image. grin grin grin

alchemillamollis Wed 04-Nov-15 22:59:50

Oh dear, sorry - Thursdays are not great for me - I have a commitment at lunchtime. Teatime on that day would be OK! Or evening...

Greenfinch Thu 05-Nov-15 07:15:58

Sorry no good for me either.

Grannyknot Thu 05-Nov-15 17:55:30

Hi everyone, sorry it all went quiet, long working day today.

Having revisited all the options, the date will be [drum roll] ...

19th November.

Unfortunately that means that yoga (unless that was your possible and becomes a yes) and alchemillamollis won't be able to join us, but we will aim to have another one in the not too distant future (also hopefully with granjura).

Now to find a venue - watch this space.

Ooooohh I'd love to join in if that is ok. But sadly can't if it is in December. I'm off to Australia, visiting family, from 29th November. I arrive in aus the day before my mum's 99th birthday and staying til after Christmas.
Hope you have a lovely meet up.

yogagran Thu 05-Nov-15 21:24:06

Yes Grannyknot, you're correct that the 19th was my possible and that has now changed to a "yes" if you'd include me in too please

Bellsnwhistles Thu 05-Nov-15 21:25:10

Just noticed proposed date 19th nov. yippee. Can I please join in?

Deedaa Thu 05-Nov-15 21:42:57

Sorry, are we talking November or December now?

Grannyknot Thu 05-Nov-15 22:02:25

Hi deedaa there was a choice of three dates, (see Doodle link posted earlier ^^ and we've settled on Thursday 19th November.

It would be lovely to have more people come.

Hi again, all!

Well with a name like "Gorgeous Gerties" (sorry, no apostrophe!) there was no contest as to where we shall meet brew flowers cupcake wine

www.gorgeousgerties.co.uk/

A table has been booked for 12 noon on Thursday 19th November.

We can either order off the menu on the day (do have a look online), but they have asked that if anyone is going to have the afternoon tea for lunch shock grin to please let them know in advance and also whether there are any dietary restrictions to note.

I don't have time to PM everyone, so please PM me if you intend having an afternoon tea (sandwiches, cake, scones and bottomless cups of tea). Anyone who wants my mobile number please PM me.

Grannyknot Fri 06-Nov-15 16:30:43

Just realised you don't have to PM me, because there is a "Comments" option on Doodle where you can post whatever information is needed. That way it is all in one place, so please add any dietary requirements etc. on the Doodle page:

doodle.com/poll/t929eq8ibebghe7t

Anyone who would feel happier if they had my mobile number can PM me. I'll make sure that I am there first smile

Greenfinch Fri 06-Nov-15 16:30:47

Is it easy to get there from the station ?

Grannyknot Fri 06-Nov-15 17:03:31

GF it says that it is a 15 minute walk from Dorking Deepdene station and then to get a 465 bus. This is the website I use for travel:

citymapper.com/london/?start=51.238802,-0.324643&saddr=Dorking%20Deepdene&end=51.231672,-0.333694&eaddr=Gorgeous%20Gerties

Grannyknot Fri 06-Nov-15 17:04:59

Sorry! That should be OR get a 465 bus (it is not a 15 minute walk to the bus stop!) The bus takes about 6 minutes.

Greenfinch Fri 06-Nov-15 19:12:59

Thanks Grannyknot. See you there.

Deedaa Fri 06-Nov-15 20:42:19

I may be able to do it depending if DD is working from home that day (ie Drinking coffee and playing with GS2) Otherwise I'm so limited with picking GS's up from school and preschool.

Grannyknot Sat 07-Nov-15 09:53:54

Hi deedaa it would be lovely if you could join us, not sure how far it is for you to come but even if you could "stop by" that would be great smile.

Dara Sat 07-Nov-15 13:09:51

Would love to attend but too far away!

Grannyknot Sat 07-Nov-15 13:28:07

That's a pity, dara. You could post an invite about a meet up in your area and see what comes out of it smile

Greenfinch Sun 08-Nov-15 14:16:35

I cannot access the website you recommended grannyvknot. If I catch the bus what stop do I ask for?
