Good Morning All x.
Rain and it's blustery with forecasts of stronger winds----so back to normal then. It's not so warm either.

Ah well it'll keep me indoors to do some cleaning around, more to the point, dusting, because I expect a gas check tomorrow so will make sure all points of his search are dust free. It doesn't seem so long since it was last checked. Important though.

Had a good chin-wag with a new neighbour yesterday who's moving from the Lake District to be near her family here. She originates from Rochdale and is still driving there to work. She's employed by the NHS by all accounts. A very pleasant person who said she was growing old disgracefully grin Good on her, though she's not old,50's perhaps.

Then another neighbour appeared from his car so I remained to talk to him and we had a laugh. I would say he's borderline OCD and that in itself makes me laugh sometimes as he double-checks his parking in his space, then his car door, then checks if the car's straight grin---it would drive me potty if he was my husband. A nice chap though, bless him.

Lovely pics again. The last time I visited Trentham gardens was on a school trip many years ago but I still remember it being a beautiful place. It was probably 1953 or thereabouts.

Big heading in my local rag today, Indian variant found on Wirral----how dare it ! A very small number but no confirmation of the numbers. Our overall C19 remains very low, it needs to do.

Georgesgran a cheery thought for you flowers
Thoughts to Grandmajet x. Hope all goes well.

Wishing everyone a good day with special thought to those struggling flowers and of course those who are absent.
Stay safe and take care.xx

Good Morning all from dank Harrogate - I've got to rush with this because I have a very busy day ahead. Once DH and DD get back from their walk it will be bedlam here. While in town yesterday I called in at a 'new' charity shop (my friend said it's been there ages, but I've been shielding so didn't know). I bought a very expensive dress and jacket for my dgd, it cost all of £4.50 might have to wait til tomorrow to post it, it's not on my laptop yet.
DH and i have got a zoom call at lunchtime, I know it is a scam but DH doesn't believe me so I've got DDs to join in to make him see sense. I also posted on GN about funeral arrangements so have yet to trawl through the recommendtions - if DH doesn't behave himself on this Zoom call his will be earlier than he realises!!!
Must go, have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning Mick et al from a dull northwest Lancashire coast. The AC and GC have left now and it was fab to see them. It shows how sluggish I have become through lockdown that it all tired me out, coupled with my IBS attack and I had to go and have a nap yesterday afternoon. As they didn’t want to wake me, DS and GD left without saying goodbye which upset me when I woke, my DD had said goodbye earlier. The empty house, apart from dear little cat...
I do wish I could have a replacement stomach! Anyway today is quiet so will just tidy up the mess left,
Planted some nasturtiums as hopefully even I can keep those alive?

Good morning everyone from the Algarve. Where according to the news programmes half of England is about to arrive !!!
As we live in the depths of the countryside we don’t usually notice tourists until (in normal times) August. When we had friends who managed villas it was usually known as August with several colourfull expletives in front of it.

DH has just announced that he is ready to go shopping so I might be back later.

Not sure which moves me the most - heartfelt posts from peeps who sometimes struggle, or the lovely responses on here.

Just you and your little cat waking to find the house was empty again, holly - not the best feeling. But they left thinking you needed that rest and you probably did. So pleased you enjoyed your family time.?

Glad you’ve got some getup and go, auntieflo. Use it wisely now!

Very hot outside so these won’t be the best photos, muse - but just an idea. Wiggy is alone, his dear lady is accompanied by one of their many children, and the teeming little green ones are waiting for me to pot them out of the way. Stipa stands up so well to our hot, wild winds and brings lots of movement to the garden. ?

Grandmafrench are those Stipa the same that muse mentioned? Thanks.
