Saturday night TV just awful

I agree, but will be watching Casualty!

We like The Masked Singer. It's bonkers!

I’m watching BBC 4 on ordinary life in Victorian Britain, and then I’ll try BBC 2 with Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders.

I watch Casualty purely from habit, think Charlie's acting is poor considering he's the best paid actor on TV!

Surely not, Sealover! Pretty sure that other television actors are paid more!

There was football on - DJ watched that.

I watched Pointless which had Kush and Martin on!!

I've got The Bone Detectives on Channel 4. It is very interesting, if you like archeology, and mysterious bronze age burials.
I couldn't be bothered with the other stuff on offer.

We also like The Masked Singer because it is bonkers and so over the top.

Casualty was the first programme Mr P and I watched together when I invited him for supper.

Have watched an old Midsomer, now waiting for Wisting to start on BBC Four. Agree that Saturday tv often seems geared to encourage you to go out!

I like Einstein and Petra the African Grey parrots, what good talkers they are. I particularly like Petra talking to Alexa and Google home. ??

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling frustrated and disappointed. I usually spend Saturday and Sunday afternoons watching the Drama channel. Not today though.

I fell asleep over a book. The light is too poor to sew and I didn't feel in the mood for serious reading.

I agree, Saturday night TV is abysmal. We watched Dad's Army, the one where the platoon have to look after the German submarine crew. It was good, same as it was the umpteen other times we have watched it. After that we watched the Coast prog about Cornwall but that appeared to be a series of repeats strung together in an incoherent way. DH is now surfing on his laptop and I'm on here.

Watching BBC 4 Wisting Skandi noir

I haven’t put the television in tonight, had a look to see what was on, and quite frankly it was absolute rubbish.

Sent a long overdue email to a friend, read my book, dipped in and out of gransnet, now I think I’ll go to bed.

Vera tomorrow night, definitely something to look forward to.

I agree Saturday evening television can be very poor quality. We always tape films during the week or watch one from Amazon Prime on Saturday nights with take-away, if we’re not going out.

This evening we watched an amusing Woody Allen film - ‘Small Time Crooks’, and had pizza, salad and a bottle of nice wine.

That probably sounds very pedestrian to lots of people, but we enjoyed the evening. ???

Saturday night TV nowadays is for 16-24 year olds. I watch Casualty out of habit and I did enjoy tonight's episode although nowadays I have to put on subtitles because I either cannot understand the accents or the mumbling irritates me.

Tomorrow evening is good but I will have to record because the Profumo Affair will be on as well as Dragons Den and Vera.

History programmes on Channel 5.

Agree that Saturday's programmes are awful. If we watch anything, before 9.00 pm, it will be a recording, or catch up.
We haven't watched Casualty for years.

DH watched a bit of NCIS then we watched Wisting.

Saturday evening choice is very poor at the minute. We watched a film on Netflix called The Breadwinner. A cartoon film set in Kabul 2001. It was released in 2017. Good little film.
