Did anyone else watch it?
Is anyone else confused?

The usual slightly dark, sometimes mumbled BBC production but spotting places we know was more interesting.

I wasn’t sure what was going on either but I was intrigued.
I’ve watched all episodes now on iplayer.
I thought it was very good but still not sure about everything. I thought it was worth watching, it gets far more interesting. I’m going to try and watch it again looking for things that I might have missed.

I read the Guardian review of this and it helped me understand it better.
I think the actress (Princess Anne) is brilliant, and after seeing the second episode I am really getting in to it and managing to suspend belief in the unlikely coincidences and just go with it.
Re the designer clothes. I thought her mum had got it right when she asked if she was going in fancy dress to a party. Looked silly, designer or not!

RADA?? Ha haa? Are you serious? You think ALL actors go through RADA? Get with the program..... I bet you think trigger point is dead realistic too?

When she's driving along that leafy road near the sea, is that the road between Weston and Sandy Bay? They only show an aerial view.

Radio Times has explanatory articles re Chloe, quite helpful.

I’m sticking with it but yes it is a bit confusing. She obviously knew the girl that committed suicde and was a part of her past. I’ll keep going all may come clear.

Did anyone else recognise the main character? She played Princess Anne
in The Crown on Netflix.

Just what I was going to add!

Dianehillbilly1957 Tue 08-Feb-22 19:51:47

Struggling on with it! Now n episode 3, and still not really too sure what on earth is going on!!!

Urmstongran Tue 08-Feb-22 20:22:12

I’m tuning in on iPlayer now to finish Ep. 3 and then will watch Ep. 4 I do like binge watching better than a weekly hour’s worth.

seacliff Tue 08-Feb-22 22:57:18

I've given up. Like with so many programmes these days

Eloethan Tue 08-Feb-22 23:35:58

I think it is very entertaining hokum.

I’ve watched four episodes and am drawn in to the story but in the episode I watched this evening so much that was important to the story took place in the dark and I had to guess what was happening. I find this a growing trend which really infuriates me, it’s the second time it’s happened this week - I started to watch Series 4 of The Sinner on Netflix and the story was just getting started when the lead character who suffers from insomnia went out in the night and something happened but it was so dark I didn’t have a clue what so I have abandoned that series.

Who is Chloe?

Urmstongran Wed 09-Feb-22 11:46:19

Does it seem odd to anyone else that she has such an ordinary (ie not posh) car whilst kidding those around her that she could (if she chose) afford that very expensive gym membership and fees for the Home where her mum is at present ‘I’ll pay you back El”. Whenever she drives her car it looks odd next to all the expensive ones around her.

Urmstongran Wed 09-Feb-22 12:01:15

I’m enjoying it though. Ep 5 & 6 tonight for me.
You just have to suspend belief ... it’s not RL ha!
It is getting to be quite the detective story which I’m hooked on. The coat & the money in the hotel cloakroom.
I shan’t spoil it by elaborating as some on here prefer to watch it weekly.

Bea65 Wed 09-Feb-22 12:12:58

Urmstongran yes her car does not fit with her 'image' and thought her posh friends would at least make a joke about it..

Tina49 Wed 09-Feb-22 12:48:00

Wardrobe and make up do a great job of transforming her (Becky) from council house resident to mixing with the glitterati (Sasha), plus I think she’s a good actress so has the appropriate facial expressions

Urmstongran Wed 09-Feb-22 12:51:49

She does act well doesn’t she? Her accent is good from Bristolian West Country to a bit cut glass when being Sasha. She’s sifting out what she’s discovering anyway!
?

Who is Chloe?

?

She is the deceased wife of Elliot, who is hoping to become an MP. And a childhood friend of Becky/Sasha.

I have only watched the first two episodes, as I don’t ‘binge’.

If anyone has watched all episodes, please don’t spoil it for the rest of us.

I shall be interested to know what you make of the ending, UG. No spoilers from me. All I’ll say is, make the most of the journey!

Urmstongran Wed 09-Feb-22 22:52:41

Goodness me.

Callistemon21 Wed 09-Feb-22 23:11:26

An old car is fine as long as it's a classic!
That's not.

Good stuff in an offbeat way. It makes me think how we can reinvent ourselves if we wish (although not as far as Becky)
On evenings out I have often given myself another name, or when asked how many children I have, reply “7” just for the fun of it, nothing sinister.
Don’t you think we all get trapped into having one personsa?
