How long must we put up with this blithering incompetent?

Poly Toynbee summed up her lack of ability and vision in this quote

“How different all this might have been under a wiser, cleverer, more empathic and perceptive leader. She could have reached out from her first day to try to heal the great gash in the country caused by David Cameron’s reckless referendum. Imagine if she had called a national council, a Speaker’s conference or a commission of all parties and interests, with citizen’s assemblies to lay out what was actually possible and what was fantastical nonsense in ways forward. But that is a unicorn wish: she is what she is. The country fell into the hands of someone only capable of making a very bad situation infinitely worse.”

Anja I was replying to Annie but carry on any excuse for having a knock at a fellow gransnetter how childish but if it gives you pleasure, perhaps you need to get out more.

POGS Wed 20-Mar-19 11:43:35

Poor Jess Phillips.

She was on a pedestal one day , swimming with the devil the next.

Who would be an MP from ANY party?

andycameron69 Wed 20-Mar-19 17:06:35

varian Wed 20-Mar-19 18:23:08

No it's not Donald. It's Vladimir.

Anja Wed 20-Mar-19 22:24:59

WTF you on about now nice nanny?

Anniebach Wed 20-Mar-19 22:44:03

Corbyn has charisma and vision ? He doesn’t even lead the party he is named leader of

Anniebach Wed 20-Mar-19 22:46:56

Nicenanny post your opinions don’t be put off

EllanVannin Wed 20-Mar-19 22:59:10

All the Conservatives have ever done is sort out the mess left behind from previous Labour governments !

Which Labour leader has ever led this country to prosper ??

crystaltipps Thu 21-Mar-19 06:23:05

Well a Labour government did introduce the NHS for starters, and pioneered council house building and the welfare state, and whatever you think of Blair he did put a lot of dosh into education ( which has now been savagely cut). I’m not a labour supporter btw, but I don’t think you can claim Tory governments have been great for the working person, maybe those who are already wealthy, yes. Back to May - I think she desperately wants to be the one that sees Brexit through and will hang on like grim death to get her deal and then resign.

andycameron69 Thu 21-Mar-19 07:21:12

ooooh a nice friendly thread

she ought to go she is a traitor and a evil EU puppet with the interest only of keeping us shackled to EU

vile sneaky liar

crystaltipps Thu 21-Mar-19 07:26:18

The message seems to be from May is - my epic incompetence has led you into complete apathy. Her telling us how we are thinking a bit unfortunate, she doesn’t do empathy very well does she? - I share your pain - really?

andycameron69 Thu 21-Mar-19 07:27:54

I loathe her, she spouts untruths all the time and is insincere.

a horrid individual, she just loves EU more than UK
grin

Anja Thu 21-Mar-19 08:04:32

Annie I haven’t a clue what so-called Nicenanny was on about, but thank you for supporting her nasty post to me.

EllanVannin Thu 21-Mar-19 08:09:04

Blair led us into war in/with Iraq, Crystaltipps. An unnecessary war which has had a devastating effect since, namely the terrorism that we now have ! Wouldn't you fight back if someone marched into your space all guns blazing ? For nothing ?

Brown got rid of some of our gold stocks at the most ridiculous price to affect the economy.
There was also the other two clowns Callaghan and Wilson.

Those who are doing the most crowing in Westminster are the Brexiteers !!

EllanVannin Thu 21-Mar-19 08:12:31

Has TM ever been responsible for the loss of so many servicemen/women ? NO ! But the Labourites have !

Jane10 Thu 21-Mar-19 08:12:49

I like Theresa May. Her speech yesterday encapsulated exactly what I was thinking! smile

Anja Thu 21-Mar-19 08:18:12

Maggie and the Falklands?

But let’s keep to the subject. This is about TM here and now and her totally inept handling of the Brexit conundrum.

Only the blinkered can deny she has made a total cock-up of the process. Only the delusional can claim it’s Corbyn’s fault.

Does anyone actually think she has made a good fist of this?

Anniebach Thu 21-Mar-19 08:23:01

Anja Nicenanny replied to a post of mine , you criticised her reply with ‘WTF’, no need for that .

Anja Thu 21-Mar-19 08:27:00

No I didn’t Annie

I will continue this via PM

Anniebach Thu 21-Mar-19 08:30:53

Ok Anja

Davidhs Thu 21-Mar-19 08:32:26

I have a lot of sympathy for TM she cannot win and probably won’t I give her credit for doing better than any man would but her day is coming to an end now.
With a new Brexit day nobody seems to expect any change in parliament and the backstop deal will be dead, so we are left with No Deal or I suppose Remain and neither of those are wanted by MPs.

The EU seem to be standing solid and an interesting comment from Germany was mentioned yesterday

“ Better a horrible end than a continuing horror”

I think it’s time to bite the bullet, nobody wins but it’s over.
No Canada deal, no cherry picking, nothing.

EllanVannin Thu 21-Mar-19 08:46:22

Anja, yes " Maggie and the Falklands "----------because Argentine were going to march in and take over their country, D'oh ! Read about it and find out.

The Falklands war was a swift no nonsense war which was over in as little time as possible. No more trouble since !

Since Iraq ( 2003 ) we've had constant attacks no thanks to Blair.

Anniebach Thu 21-Mar-19 08:46:36

Thank you for your PM Anja. you were replying to a post and I thought you were replying to a different post , my error,

EllanVannin Thu 21-Mar-19 08:49:32

The Iraq war was nothing to do with us and should never have taken place. Falklands is British so therefore the country has to be protected.
