I've found that those who loudly protest their tolerance credentials are usually the most rigid of thinkers, rarely able to expand intelligently on why they think/feel as they do.

Actually probably we all are to some extent. It’s just usually that it’s in our heads. Not typed out for all to see.

Sometimes people telling you you should be more tolerant do so in an attempt to stretch the limits of what is tolerable to include their own intolerable behaviour.
